Description

(Coleus) Colorblaze® Dipt in Wine Plectranthus has a beautiful color combination of burgundy leaves with pink veining and a splash of lime-green. Colorblaze® Dipt in Wine can grow up to 3' high and 2' wide making it a great back border plant in any full sun to full shade location. Not only is this a versatile coleus, but it is also deer resistant and the flowers, if left on the plant, will attract hummingbirds. Mix Colorblaze® Dipt in Wine with a lighter shade coleus such as Colorblaze® Lime Time™ for a stand out color combination. To keep your plants looking their best, be sure to fertilize every one to two weeks with Proven Winners® water soluble plant food.

I have grown this plant in my garden for two years now, and over all it is lovely. It's deep wine red leaves are a great contrast with lighter and grassier textures. It does start to grow flowers pretty quickly but I usually cut them off and let the foliage do the talking.
