Double Dipped® 'Rainbow Sherbet' Coneflower (Echinacea)
- 4.5" Wide Flowers,
- Taller Habit,
- Well Branched
Description
(Coneflower) A unique addition to your coneflower collection, Double Dipped® 'Rainbow Sherbet' Echinacea appears to have two different colored blooms. Its blooms are orange at first, then they change to a light pink color as they age - giving the plant the appearance of having 2 different colored blooms at the same time. These blooms emerge in the midsummer and last into the late summer. Hardy in zones 4-8, this echinacea grows best in full sun but can tolerate some shade. It can grow to a maximum height of 26-28 inches, and can spread up to 18-24 inches. Butterflies love echinacea and will be sure to visit. Deer, on the other hand, will stay away as it is deer-resistant. Plant as a border plant, as a mass planting, next to other coneflowers, or on its own in a container.
