Description

(Bugleweed) Feathered Friends® 'Fierce Falcon' Ajuga is a striking large-leaved variety. The deeply textured and puckered foliage of this evergreen ground cover is extremely glossy and deep purple, almost black. It provides excellent texture to shady areas and is set off by cobalt blue blooms in spring. 'Fierce Falcon' Ajuga grows 4-6" high and will spread 9-18" wide and is best grown in part to full shade in moist, well-drained soil. Use as a border or ground cover plant in the shade garden. 'Noble Nightingale' compliments other shade plants such as Brunnera, Heuchera, Hosta, and Pulmonaria.
