'Fronds Forever' Lady Fern (Athyrium)

Individual leaflets, called fronds, line the leaf stem giving the plant a thin textured appearance. Tassels appear at the ends of each frond and at the end of the whole leaf itself giving it that crested appearance. Ferns grow best in full shade to part shade areas. When planted next to hostas or brunneras, they add complimentary contrast in size and leaf texture. This perennial is hardy in zones 3-8, and can grow to a max height of 24 inches and spread up to 18-24 inches. Plant in moist soil and water frequently.
