Ginger Wine® Ninebark (Physocarpus)
- Sun Loving,
- Bright Red Seed Pods,
- Great Foliage
Description
(Ninebark) If you loved the bright copper colored foliage of Coppertina® but are looking for a shorter option, we recommend giving Ginger Wine® a try. If color change is something you admire, Ginger Wine® does just that. In spring, the foliage is a rich orangey red. As the summer heats up, the color does also, turning Ginger Wine® Ninebark a deep burgundy red color. In late spring, large white flower clusters fill this flowering shrub. But the flower interest does not end there! As the flower heads mature they form rich red seed heads for additional weeks of interest. Standing 5-6 feet tall, the sturdy stems create an upright habit, which are also good for cuttings. Ginger Wine® is a native variety that has shown excellent resistance to disease. A Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub.

Reviews
It is growing beautifully. I am so glad I ordered from you! They arrived in great condition unlike some other company I won’t mention. They are happy and growing and this gardener couldn’t be more pleased. I will be ordering more from you next year!! I love being able to get larger plants instead of those in little cans.
It's doing excellent even though we've had several bouts with frost since I planted it. This year's been very unusual for weather. I've been looking for this particular plant for a very long time and you're the first nursery that would ship to my state of Idaho. For some reason they won't carry it in the nurseries here and a lot of places will not ship it here either. Even though it's approved for this zone. The color is beautiful it really stands out. I can't wait till it starts to really grow it's going to look wonderful where it's been placed.
