'Grape Crush' features dark, royal purple flowers that begin blooming in late August into September. Standing 26-30 inches tall and up to 44 inches wide, 'Grape Crush' forms a dense mound of dark green foliage. As the flowers start to emerge, they are packed tight forming a dense ball of color. Hardy in zones 3-8, 'Grape Crush' Aster likes to be grown in full sun locations with regular watering. Asters make a great border plant and also do well in mixed fall planters. Snip a few branches off and enjoy the blooms indoors in a decorative vase. Native to North America, Asters are a great addition to pollinator gardens.
