Guernsey Flute™ Clematis
- Compact Habit,
- Star Shaped Blooms,
- Long Blooming
Description
(Clematis) Looking for a pure white clematis? Look no further than Guernsey Flute™ Clematis! Elegant, stark white blooms adorn this clematis. Its large petals form a star-shaped appearance and the flowers can grow as large as 5" across. Subtle red anthers make up the center of the flower. The "Flute" part of its name was earned by its unique trait of holding newly opened flower buds for longer than usual, giving it a unique flute-shaped appearance. Growing 3-4 feet tall, it is recommended to grow Guernsey Flute™ Clematis in part shade locations and to keep the roots especially shaded. This can be done by planting shorter plants close to the roots to keep them shaded, or with a layer of mulch. Clematis are a great way to add vertical interest to the garden or landscape. Pair this clematis with other colorful clematis for a wall of color. Flower color may vary based on the environment.
