Hollywood Hibiscus™ VIP™ Tropical Hibiscus

(Tropical Hibiscus) Hollywood Hibiscus™ VIP™ features stunning blooms of various shades of orange and yellow. Each bloom has darker orange edges which fade to a light orange in the middle of the petals, and a bright magenta center. These large blooms cover the plant and complement its dark green foliage nicely. Each bloom lasts for up to 3 days and attracts hummingbirds. Hollywood Hibiscus™ VIP™ can reach a height of 5 feet and a width of 4 feet. It is deer-resistant and thrives in full-sun areas of the garden. Try planting it as part of a mixed border, or in containers on your patio. Tropical hibiscus are evergreen in zones 9-11, but can still be enjoyed by gardeners in colder zones. In these zones, it can be grown as an annual, or it can be brought indoors to overwinter. If you choose to overwinter indoors, make sure the plant is positioned in direct sunlight. It may lose its leaves if indoors for the winter, but they will flush back out in the spring once it returns to the outdoors. Hollywood Hibiscus™ VIP™ blooms on new growth, so it is ok to trim it after it is done blooming for the season. We also recommend feeding your tropical hibiscus once in the spring with a slow-release fertilizer.
