'Jack of Diamonds' Siberian Bugloss (Brunnera)
- Tiny Blue Flowers,
- Giant, Heart Shaped Leaves,
- Great Ground Cover
Description
(Siberian Bugloss) If you like ‘Jack Frost’ you are going to love this giant-sized improvement. Brunnera macrophylla ‘Jack of Diamonds’ features large 9-10 inch leaves that overlap giving it a circular shape. The leaves feature a silvery overlay that stands out from a distance. The wide green veining pattern gives ‘Jack of Diamonds’ an added look of texture. Standing 14-16 inches tall and spreading up to 30 inches wide, early to mid-spring periwinkle blue flowers emerge putting on a special show. Planted in full shade to part shade locations, Brunnera prefers average to fertile soil with moderate moisture. With its ‘fuzzy’ texture this makes it unappealing to deer. Brunnera ‘Jack of Diamonds’ makes a great specimen plant or go for big impact and plant in mass. This fantastic mounding ground cover can also be enjoyed indoors by snipping a few leaves and blooms and placed in a vase. Brunnera ‘Jack of Diamonds’ is a Proven Winners® Perennial.
