Juke Box® Pyracomeles
- Evergreen,
- Boxwood Substitute,
- Disease Resistant
Description
(Pyracomeles) Looking for a Boxwood alternative? Look no further than Pyracomeles Juke Box®. This compact evergreen stands 1-3 feet tall and wide and can be shaped as you desire. This broadleaf evergreen will have you looking twice as you may confuse it with a boxwood or holly. Pyracomeles Juke Box® has a tightly branched habit creating a nice full look. The glossy, bright green foliage can be trimmed to make a hedge, border, used as a foundation planting, or shaped into a neat looking topiary for containers or the landscape. Juke Box® is a heat tolerant, versatile landscape plant that is hardy in zones 7-9. For our Southern gardeners, here is your boxwood replacement. Juke Box® is a cross between Pyracantha and Osteomeles, but you will notice that there are no thorns and also no flowers. Planted in full sun to part shade, we recommend trimming Juke Box® in the spring if you feel that it is needed. Juke Box® is a Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub.
