Just Chill® Double Mauve Camellia
- Fall Blooming Shrub,
- Evergreen Foliage,
- Hardy To Zone 7
Description
(Camellia) With so many shrubs blooming in the summer, it is refreshing to have an option that adds Fall- Early Winter color to your garden. Camellia Just Chill® Double Mauve blooms in the Fall with semi-double pinkish-mauve flowers. The attractive bowl-shaped flowers are beautifully contrasted against the thick, dark green foliage. Standing 5-8 feet tall and spreading 3-5 feet wide, the upright mounding habit is perfect as a specimen, planted as a border or hedge. Hardy in zones 7(6b with protection)-9, Camellia does well when grown in moist, well-drained acidic soil in full to part sun locations. Adding a layer of organic mulch is also recommended. If pruning is needed, we recommend trimming after it has bloomed in late winter or early spring. This deer-resistant shrub is evergreen in the southern zones. Camellia Just Chill® Double Mauve is a Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub.
