Just Chill Red Tip® Camellia
- Late Season Bloom,
- Burgundy New Growth,
- Semi-Double Pink Blooms
Description
(Camellia) With so many shrubs blooming in the summer, here we have an introduction that adds Fall- Early Winter color to your garden. Camellia Just Chill Red Tip® blooms in the Fall with semi-double bubblegum pink flowers. The foliage of this plant is just as beautiful as the flowers. This Camellia features glossy dark green foliage with the new growth emerging a glossy burgundy with a lime green midrib. Standing 5-8 feet tall and spreading 5-6 feet wide, the upright mounding habit is perfect as a specimen, planted as a border or hedge. Hardy in zones 7(6b)-9, Camellia does well when grown in moist, well-drained acidic soil. Adding a layer of organic mulch is also recommended. If pruning is needed, we recommend trimming after it has bloomed in late winter or early spring. This deer-resistant shrub is evergreen in the southern zones. Camellia Just Chill Red Tip® is a Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub.
