Description

(Honeysuckle) A unique statement piece for the vertical garden! Kintzley's Ghost® Lonicera is a one-of-a-kind native, non-invasive Honeysuckle. In spring, its foliage appears like other honeysuckles, but as it grows and sets flower buds, unique blue hued saucer shaped bracts develop around them resembling eucalyptus leaves. Small, tubular, fragrant yellow flowers appear in the center of these bracts in early summer which then turn into red berries. Kintzley's Ghost® Lonicera grows 6-12 feet high by 5 feet wide and is hardy in zones 4-8. This stunning climber is deer resistant, drought tolerant, and adaptable to most soils, except for continuously wet areas. Kintzley's Ghost® blooms on old wood, so pruning is not recommended as you will remove the bracts, the vines' most ornamental feature. Give this special plant a prominent place on a trellis, obelisk, fence or post in full to part sun where you can enjoy the unique and unusual show. Kintzley's Ghost® Lonicera is a Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Shrub.

I have had one for years. Love it. Bees and butterflies fill the flowers in the spring.
