Description

(Lemon Grass) Lemon Grass has long been used in cooking and is also a natural mosquito repellent. The fresh lemony smell is pleasing to humans but deters mosquitoes. Cymbopogon citratus is an ornamental annual grass that grows from 18" to 48" depending on your zone. It is hardy in southern climates and can be brought in the house for the winter in the north. It brings textural beauty and the motion of an ornamental grass to your garden landscape with the additional benefit of a natural Mosquito repellent. Plant as a border, in landscape beds or in annual container combination design. In addition to being used in the landscape or as a container plant, Lemon Grass can be used in cooking adding a light lemon flavor to your cuisine. Often mixed with cilantro, chile peppers and garlic, Lemon Grass is useful in making Thai or Asian dishes. Planted in full sun to light shade, Cymbopogon citratus grass is easy to grow.
