(Tall Garden Phlox) A welcome addition to any full sun garden is Phlox paniculata Luminary® 'Opalescence'. TheLuminary® series of phlox is one of the most powdery mildew resistant varieties on the market. Standing 30-32 inches tall and spreading to 28 inches wide, Phlox Luminary® 'Opalescence' is a perfect size plant for garden borders, mass plantings, or as part of a Tall Phlox collection. The light pink flowers have a deep magenta eye and are accented by the dark green foliage. Midsummer the blooms open and put on a great show. Give them a light trim when they are done blooming and wait for the second round of blooms. Hardy in zones 3-8, it likes to be grown in full sun locations with average water needs. We recommend planting your phlox in an area with good airflow. The Fragrant blooms attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and pollinators to the garden.
