Description
(Ice Plant) Capturing all the colors of a sunset, OCEAN SUNSET™ 'Orange Glow' Delosperma features unique blooms with golden yellow centers, and burnt orange petals that fade to hot pink tips. This variety has the largest flowers of all the delosperma. Its blooms will close at night and open again in the morning. Living up to its common name (Ice Plant), it can tolerate some frost and is hardy down to -25 degrees Fahrenheit. Delosperma are great options for dry areas or rock gardens. They are drought tolerant once established and prefer to be planted in sandy, well-drained soil, with minimal watering. Hardy in zones 5a-9b, Ocean Sunset™ 'Orange Glow' Delosperma can grow to a maximum height of 4-6 inches and can spread up to 10-12 inches. This is a great low-growing plant for borders or mass plantings. It is deer resistant and easy to care for. Its beautiful blooms appear in the spring and last into the late summer.
