'Pardon My Rose' Bee Balm (Monarda)
- Refined Habit,
- Butterfly Magnet,
- Fragrant
Description
(Bee Balm) You can never have too many colors of Monarda and 'Pardon My Rose' just added an eye-catching bright rose pink to this compact series of monarda. 'Pardon My Rose' has a slightly spreading, but controlled compact form that provides a ton of flower color mid to late summer! If your garden is lacking space for the traditional large monarda, this little beauty is just for you. This is a great selection for the front of your garden or for use in a combination planter. Standing only 14-18" tall, the large 2 1/2-3" flowers of 'Pardon My Rose' are a real standout and are a hummingbird and butterfly's dream come true! The pleasantly mint-scented semi-glossy dark green foliage is deer-resistant. 'Pardon My Rose' exhibits good mildew resistance unlike many of the traditional Bee Balm varieties as long as you provide good air circulation, full sun and regular watering at the base of the plant. Hardy in zones 4-8 'Pardon my Rose' is another great Proven Winners® Perennial.
