Description

(Red Switch Grass) Panicum 'Apache Rose' offers a relaxing, soft rustling sound as it sways in the breeze and adds great visual interest in the landscape. 'Apache Rose' has a solid, upright habit with a 4-foot columnar habit. The clump of deep green foliage sends up rosy pink plumes in the fall. A very versatile grass, Panicum 'Apache Rose' PPAF is great in containers, mass plantings, or can stand alone, and is sturdy enough to withstand heavy rains and the cold winter, unless the snow is too heavy. Planted in full sun, 'Apache Rose' is adaptable to most soil conditions. This Switch Grass makes an excellent addition to Proven Winners® Perennials.
