Description

(Japanese Catmint) Nepeta is well-loved for its flower power and deer-resistant qualities. Prelude™ Blue Nepeta is no exception. Also known as Japanese Catmint, it features silver-blue blooms that stand tall on top of sturdy stems with fragrant foliage. Each bloom is trumpet-shaped, perfect for hummingbirds to feed on. Bees and butterflies also love this plant, making it a great addition to your pollinator or butterfly garden.

Hardy in zones 4-9, this nepeta is frost-tolerant with a hardiness of -25 degrees Fahrenheit. Growing in a neat, mounded habit, it can reach a maximum height of 28-36 inches and can spread up to 24-30 inches wide. Prelude™ Blue Nepeta thrives in full sun and will grow vigorously out in the garden or landscape. It is recommended to water moderately and trim the plant back to the ground in the fall. Its flowers begin in late spring or early summer and continue through summer for a long flowering season.

Enjoy Prelude™ Blue Nepeta in the landscape, in your pollinator garden, or in containers on your patio.
