Description
(Butterfly Bush) I cannot say enough about the PUGSTER® series of Butterfly bushes! Pugster® Amethyst is the 5th addition to the family and is just as amazing as its siblings. The Pugster® butterfly bushes are a compact habit standing only 2 feet tall and wide. For our northern gardeners, you will find that these are more hardy than some of the other Buddleias on the market. Pugster® Amethyst butterfly bush has extra large pinky/lilac colored blooms that are held up by the thick, dense stems can easily withstand the harsh northern winters. The large leaves are deep green in color and look nice even when the plant has not started to bloom. Hardy in zones 5-9, the fragrant blooms attract all sorts of flying friends such as butterflies, hummingbirds, and pollinators. Grown in full sun, Pugster® Amethyst butterfly bush will put on a stunning show in your garden or landscape. Butterfly Bushes flower off the new growth so pruning can be done in fall or early spring if desired. Pugster® Butterfly Bushes will bloom all summer. You can remove spent blooms if you so desire. Buddleia Pugster® Amethyst is a Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub.

Reviews
Upon arrival, this little fella was a great little specimen. Instead of putting him in the ground right away, we put him in a larger pot with Plant Tone and some good potting soil. Once a little larger, he was put in the ground and is now happily flourishing in our front garden. Looking forward to what a full year of growth will bring next spring!!! He continues to bloom and I do deadhead him to keep him healthy! Definitely a splendid addition! Garden Crossing IS my go to for plants now. Always great specimens and handle/packed/shipped with care!!
This little fella is planted in my northern garden and has settled in nicely. He’s a little guy now but I have high hopes that next summer he will be mature enough to flower.
Rooting in this year. Showing some buds.
Just starting to bloom! Excited to see them in flower
