Quick Fire Fab® Panicle Hydrangea
- Blooms Early,
- Large Flowers,
- Great Show of Color
Description
(Hardy Hydrangea) Hydrangeas are truly one of the most beloved flowering shrubs and they just keep getting better and better! Quick Fire Fab® Panicle Hydrangea joins the Quick Fire® family and boasts earlier blooms and full, large mophead flowers held atop strong, sturdy stems. The flowers of Quick Fire Fab® are unlike any other paniculata as they have unique cross-shaped florets that provide a great texture to the bloom. The color of the blooms change from bottom up starting creamy white with a lime green tint at the tip, then flush light pink, to bright pink, ending as a deep berry pink. Quick Fire Fab® Panicle Hydrangea grows 6-8' high and 5-6' wide, providing 3 plus months of flowers and color in the summer, and is very cold hardy growing in zones 3-8. Quick Fire Fab® Panicle Hydrangea is happy growing in full sun to part shade locations and is adaptable to most any soil except very wet ones. Excellent as a specimen plant, in the mixed border, and in mass plantings, Quick Fire Fab® is also wonderful as a cut flower both fresh and dried. Because it blooms on new wood, pruning may be done in late winter or early spring by taking off about one-third of the height just above a set of large buds. Quick Fire Fab® Panicle Hydrangea is a Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub.

Reviews
This cultivar has done very well in my Zone 7a NY garden and the flowers color up brilliantly in the late summer. The flowers hold their color for a long time and look stunning with late summer and fall perennials.
