Description

(Begonia) Cascading beauty, a bounty of vivid shades. The flower power of Santa Cruz® Begonia is breathtaking. The deep orange red blossoms look like teardrops that cover the deep green foliage. In the early stages of growth, the airy foliage creates an upright habit, and as the plant matures, the flowers and foliage start to drape over, creating a beautiful tropical look. The 12-16" cascading habit of Santa Cruz® makes this a great choice for hanging baskets and planters. Unlike most Begonias, Santa Cruz® begonia is drought tolerant and can be grown in full sun to full shade locations. It holds up well after a rain. Enjoy the flutter of the hummingbird as it comes in for a tasty treat.

Has 2 hours of direct sun in AM, indirect sun the rest of the day. Foliage and flowers are equally attractive, but blooms are brilliant! Healthy and full and it blooms consistently all summer until first frost in late fall. One of my favorite annuals, and the only bright orange one, in my 16 baskets and 27 planters. Have to have it every year!

This is my 1st time buying from Garden Crossings, hopefully I can give you five stars!

Hearty, absolutely full of blossoms throughout the entire season. Use in our hanging baskets. Shade in the AM, Partial sun in late afternoons. Love the striking color & fullness.
