Description

(Hosta) Shadowland®  Hosta ‘Wheee!’ has cream-colored margins that extend from the tip of the leaf to the base of the plant. The intense ruffled edges are prominent, even in the young stages of this plant. The leaves are medium sized and have good substance, making them more slug resistant. Hosta ‘Wheee!’ grows 2 feet tall and roughly 3 feet wide. In mid summer this hosta sends up lavender flowers which attract pollinators such as bees and hummingbirds. You can also cut its flowers to use in indoor flower arrangements. Add depth and beauty to shade locations in your landscape by planting a variety of mixed hostas, or pair with your favorite shade perennial such as Astilbes, Heuchera, Helleborus, Brunnera, and more. Hostas are hardy in zones 3-9, and like to be grown in moderate to moist soils. They are typically easy to grow and maintain, and they are a popular plant enjoyed by many. The captivating beauty of Shadowland®  Hosta ‘Wheee!’ can be enjoyed all season long. Shadowland®  Hosta ‘Wheee!’ is a Proven Winners® Perennial.

Could hardly wait to say 'wheee' when it arrived and to admire its beauty. My husband will enjoy that name. I'll bet he will remember it.

I began with a small single plant 3 years ago. Now have it in several locations with dividing it and each location it performs very well. The ruffled leaf margins are so unique.
