Spintop® Red Blanket Flower (Gaillardia)

Also known as, blanket flower, gaillardias feature large, eye-catching flowers that are a staple in the garden. SpinTop® Red features broad, reddish/orange flowers with deep red centers. These flowers stand out amongst the bright green foliage of the plant. It grows in a dense, branching habit and multiple buds can be found on each stem. It begins blooming in the late spring and lasts into late summer. Hardy in zones 3-9, it stays short and compact, only growing to a maximum height of 12-14 inches. SpinTop® Red Gaillardia grows best in full sun areas, and in normal to sandy soils. It has low watering requirements and is drought tolerant and heat tolerant once established. You might have some butterflies come and visit your gaillardia, but deer should stay away as it is deer resistant.
