Description

(Clematis) The unique habit of 'Stand By Me' Clematis is now available in multiple color options. 'Stand By Me Lavender' Clematis features dark purple buds that open to light lavender flowers with creme anthers. The unique flowers are downwards facing, bell-shaped blooms, as the blooms age the thread-like seed heads follow for extended interest. 'Stand By Me Lavender' is a bush form of clematis and stands 34-38 inches tall and wide, it is a nonclinging clematis so we recommend growing in a cage, or plant by neighboring plants that will be able to support it. Hardy in zones 3-7 'Stand By Me Lavender' likes to be grown in full sun to part shade locations, and can tolerate poor to fertile soil conditions. We do recommend shading the roots with mulch for all clematis. Blooming early summer and then again later in the season, 'Stand By Me Lavender' is a deer and rabbit resistant perennial and attracts butterflies and bees to the garden. Bush Clematis is a unique form and makes great border plants, specimens, or container plants. 'Stand By Me' Clematis is a member of the Proven Winners® Perennial Collection.

My first clematis plant in zone 9 hope it’s not too hot for it.
