Description

(Bush Clematis) The Stand By Me collection is getting bigger! We are happy to announce that pink is now part of the collection. The compact, upright mounding habit of Clematis 'Stand by Me Pink' is a great addition for gardens and containers alike. Standing 38-42 inches tall, 'Stand by Me Pink' is a nonclinging vine that can benefit from being supported on a trellis or small cage. The bright pink flowers appear in mid-May and peak in early summer. The bell-shaped, downward-facing blooms last all summer with an occasional rebloom. The foliage is bright green with bronze undersides, creating a beautiful backdrop to the flowers. When the blooms are finished, beautiful cream seed heads adorn this clematis. 'Stand by Me Pink' dies back to the ground in the winter, with its new flowers coming from the new growth. Plant 'Stand by Me Pink' in full sun to part shade locations. It prefers to have its roots shaded, which can be done with mulch or coverage from a nearby plant. 'Stand by Me Pink' Clematis attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. They are also deer and rabbit resistant. Clematis 'Stand by Me Pink' is a Proven Winners® Perennial.
