Description

(Petunia) Bring intrigue and richness to the garden with STARLET™ Velvet Petunia! This stunning black Petunia has deep rich velvety blooms with dark purple undertones. In the heat of the summer the Rich Velvet Black blooms take on deep purple magenta coloration. Hardy in zones 10-11, STARLET™ Velvet Petunia grows 8-10 inches high by 12-20 inches wide and has a nice compact mounded trailing habit. It grows best in full sun locations and will require regular watering. We recommend fertilizing this black petunia with a water-soluble fertilizer once a week for best flowering and performance. Regular deadheading of the spent blooms will encourage continuous and numerous flowers. STARLET™ Velvet Petunia would be a stunning companion to any red, chartreuse or pink flower or foliage. It is excellent for containers, hanging baskets, window boxes and landscape borders.
