Description

(Rose Mallow) The contrast of color that Summerific® ‘Evening Rose’ Hibiscus brings to the garden is unlike any other! The large hot pink flowers ‘pop’ against the dark, near-black foliage. Each bloom of Summerific® ‘Evening Rose’ reaches up to 8 inches across and is heavily puckered, creating a nice texture. Standing 4 feet tall and wide, the upright mounding habit is a perfect specimen for the garden. Planted in full sun to part shade locations. Summerific® ‘Evening Rose’ Hibiscus is hardy in zones 4-9. With average to consistent water needs, Summerific® ‘Evening Rose’ can be planted in areas with poor to fertile soil. This native perennial is deer resistant and attracts butterflies and pollinators to the garden. If you are looking for a plant that will have the neighbors turning their heads, I think this will be just the plant. Please note that Hardy Hibiscus is one of the last plants to emerge in the spring. Here in Michigan it is often the beginning of June before we see them. Once they emerge, they are quick to grow and will be flowering by mid to late summer. Summerific® ‘Evening Rose’ is a Proven Winners® Perennial.

My small but very healthy plant arrived about 4 weeks ago. It came extremely well packaged and fully intact. I planted it right away and now its over 4 feet tall with very tiny buds. I can't wait to see it bloom!

Most beautiful big pink bloom I've ever seen. I just put it in the ground 3 weeks ago. Keeping the ground moist until I seen new growth. Late August is when I planted it.
