- Large Blooms,
- Short Flower Spikes,
- Excellent Winter Hardiness
Description
(Lavender) The perfect size for garden borders, Lavandula 'SuperBlue' packs a lot of color for a compact perennial. Beautiful large, lavender-blue blooms are nestled just above the foliage on shorter stems with less gaping for a fuller more flowerful looking plant. Lavender 'SuperBlue' is a compact 10-12 inches tall and wide creating a nice mounding habit. Beautifully fragrant, Lavandula 'SuperBlue' is a great cut and dried flower that adds fragrance to your home &, garden. Hardy in zones 5-8, lavandula like to be planted in full sun with well-drained soil. We recommend in areas of high humidity, using rock instead of mulch as a top dressing. Drip irrigation directly around lavender is not recommended. In early spring, trim to shape as new growth emerges. Enjoy this long-blooming, free-flowering perennial from early summer to fall with a light trim as flowers fade to encourage a rebloom. A perfect addition for borders, rock gardens, and container gardens.
