Supertunia Mini Vista® Scarlet Petunia

(Petunia) The color spectrum for Mini Vista Supertunias® is getting more colorful! Introducing, Supertunia Mini Vista® Scarlet, a bright red bloom that is slightly smaller than the original Supertunias®. Standing 6-12 inches tall and spreading/trailing up to 24 inches long/wide, Supertunia Mini Vista® Scarlet is a great selection for containers and landscapes. Grown in full sun to part sun locations, Mini Vista® Scarlet is heat tolerant. In the landscape, Supertunia Mini Vista® scarlet forms a nice spreading mound for season-long color. Fertilize often for the best results. The Supertunia® family of petunias is self-cleaning. What that means is that you do not need to pick at them to keep them looking beautiful all summer. We do recommend fertilizing your Supertunia® every 1-2 weeks with a water-soluble fertilizer. This helps keep your plants well nourished providing you with loads of color. You may find that mid-season your baskets and planters need a manicure. We recommend trimming your 'Mini Vista Scarlet back to approximately the bottom of your hanging basket or container. This will encourage more branching and freshen up your planter. The 'Mini Vista' series of Supertunia® have been bred to flower earlier and have vigorous flower power. The flower form is smaller than the Vista Supertunias® petunias, but the mass of flowers creates a blanket of color in your landscape.
