Description

(Stoke's Aster) TOTALLY STOKED™ 'Whitecaps' Stokesia is the perfect addition to the TOTALLY STOKED™ series. 'Whitecaps' feature a mass of blooms that are almost white in color but have a very soft blush pink tint to them. Its foliage is a nice green color and it forms a dense habit. This is a native perennial and it can grow in a range of soil conditions from dry to moist. Hardy in zones 5-9, this stokesia will thrive in full sun areas. Its blooms will appear in midsummer and last into early fall. It is recommended to deadhead its spent flowers often to keep the plant healthy and to promote more flowers throughout the season. Its flowers will attract butterflies and bees, making it a pollinator-friendly plant. Deer and rabbits on the other hand, will stay clear of this plant as it is deer resistant and rabbit resistant. TOTALLY STOKED™ 'Whitecaps' pairs well with other full sun-loving perennials such as alliums, salvias, and daylilies.
