Description

(Cuphea) There is nothing like enjoying a fresh watermelon in the summer, and Totally Tempted™ Watermelon Wine™ Cuphea brings that feeling to the garden. It features watermelon red flowers with a little bit of purple in the centers, and deep green, glossy foliage. This cuphea is a long-blooming annual, and it will rebloom all season long. Pollinators love this plant and get a lot of bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visiting. Totally Tempted™ Watermelon Wine™ Cuphea can reach a max height of 8-16 inches and can spread up to 12-18 inches. It thrives in full sun and the heat of the summer. No deadheading is necessary, but we recommend feeding your annuals weekly with a water-soluble fertilizer. When first planted, be sure to give this cuphea a lot of water. However, once established, it can handle less frequent watering. Plant as a border plant or mass planting in the garden or landscape, or plant in a container combination with complimenting full sun annuals.
