UPTICK™ Red starts off with nearly solid dark red blooms in the early summer, edged with a small border of golden yellow. As the season progresses and more flowers emerge, the golden yellow border becomes more prominent. Standing 12-14 inches tall and wide, the compact, mounding habit of UPTICK™ Red Coreopsis in a perfect border plant. Hardy in zones 5-9, and planted in full sun, Tickseed has average water needs but once established can tolerant dry areas. We do recommend well-drained areas for overwintering. This deer-resistant, native perennial is the perfect addition to cut flower gardens. Enjoy the hummingbirds and butterflies as they visit your garden. Coreopsis is an easy-to-grow perennial, a great selection for those who are beginners.
