(Lenten Rose) With so many beautiful colorations in the WEDDING PARTY® Helleborus collection, it is hard to choose a favorite. That being said, 'Shotgun Wedding' has a really special look about it! The large 3 inch fully double blooms of WEDDING PARTY® 'Shotgun Wedding' feature bi-colored blooms. The crisp white flowers have a heavy concentration of burgundy specks creating a white picotee edge. Similar to 'Confetti Cake', ' Shotgun Wedding' is more heavily concentrated with burgundy coloration. The dark, evergreen foliage of 'Shotgun Wedding' stands 18- 24 inches tall and wide. One of the earliest flowers to bloom in the garden, in mid to late March here in Michigan we start to see the flowers emerge. The flowers of Lenten Rose bloom for a long time and even after the flowers fade, they still bring color and enjoyment to the garden. Planted in zones 4-9, in full to part shade gardens is where Helleborus thrive. No need to worry about the deer with this deer and rabbit resistant perennial. Enjoy WEDDING PARTY® 'Shotgun Wedding' as a specimen, foundation plant, or but a few different varieties and plant them in your favorite perennial bed. It is never too early to enjoy cut flowers, so be sure to head out in the cold and cut a few for your indoor vases.

Lenten Rose now a Southern Belle

When received my Wedding Party Shotgun Wedding LR, it was in excellent health! All my plants were carefully and solidly packaged; better than any other plants that have been shipped to me. We are deep in the throes of our hot, humid summer here in MS, but my LR is a healthy dark green and glowing and growing.
