Wee Bit Giddy® Bigleaf Hydrangea

(Bigleaf Hydrangea) Take the rich red of Cityline Paris and mix it with the hardiness of Let’s Dance Rave and you get the standout plant Wee Bit Giddy™ Hydrangea. This compact Bigleaf Hydrangea stands 24 inches tall and forms a spreading mound that is 30 inches wide. The large, bold, deep magenta red blooms start early to midsummer and rebloom later in the summer. The dark glossy green foliage and large blooms are held up by the sturdy stems. Wee Bit Giddy™ Hydrangea likes to be grown in full sun to part shade locations with ample water and fertile soil. Hardy in zones 5-9, it is a rebloomer off of the old and new growth. We do not recommend trimming your big leaf hydrangeas unless it is necessary as this will result in lesser blooms. Wee Bit Giddy™ is naturally bright reddish-pink in neutral to alkaline soil and will turn to a deep rich violet-red in acidic soils.
