Wee Bit Innocent® Bigleaf Hydrangea
- Double Florets,
- Soft Color Range,
- Great Cut Flower
Description
(Bigleaf Hydrangea) The WEE BIT series of hydrangeas is growing with the addition of WEE BIT INNOCENT®. This compact Bigleaf Hydrangea stands 24 inches tall and forms a compact mound that is 30 inches wide. The large mophead flowers have stunning double florets and are a lovely delicate shade of pink or blue depending on soil pH. The numerous flowers start early to midsummer and rebloom later in the summer and fall. The dark glossy green foliage and large blooms are held up by sturdy stems. Hydrangea WEE BIT INNOCENT® likes to be grown in full sun to part shade locations with ample water and fertile soil. Hardy in zones 5-9, WEE BIT INNOCENT® is a reblooming hydrangea blooming off of the old and new growth. We do not recommend trimming your big leaf hydrangeas unless it is necessary to trim out dead wood, as this will result in the loss of blooms. WEE BIT INNOCENT® is naturally pink in neutral to alkaline soil and will turn a lovely shade of light blue in acidic soils. Plant as a specimen, in the mixed border, or as a low hedge or edging . Enjoy a few blooms indoors in a vase as a cut flower or hang them to dry for longer enjoyment. WEE BIT INNOCENT® is a Proven Winners® Colorchoice® Flowering Shrub.

Reviews
I gave this as a gift. It arrived healthy and I've been told it's growing well.
I ordered two of these hydrangeas in the quart size. When they arrived, a majority of the leaves were curled and brown, so I wasn't sure if they were going to survive. I did spray them with an organic bug spray a couple of times after they were planted. They are still small but I am optimistic because when I checked them this morning it looked like they were pushing new growth.
Plants arrived in excellent condition and are starting to put on buds. Can’t wait to see them bloom.
