Lavender known for its delicate blooms and intoxicating fragrance, is an easy to grow and drought tolerant perennial prized by the perfume industry. Growing from 1-3' in height depending on the variety, Lavender is a shrubby perennial with gray green narrow leaves covered in a silvery down with flowers grown along spikes in various shades of purple.

Lavender does best in full sun and well-drained soil. Do not over-water and allow the soil to dry between waterings. Among its many uses in the mixed perennial border, Lavender is also great as a dried flower put in sachets, potpourri, teas, and even for mixing into your favorite recipes!
